Amazon is selling the Canon EOS 5D Mark II body for $1529. This doesn’t come with the same goodies that B&H Photo is offering.

Yep. B&H seems to be matching Amazon, at least on bodies. The 5D3 kit price has dropped twice, $50 each time since Friday.

How low can they go? Or how many special treats can they throw in to make it work?

So much for mandatory pricing.

I picked up my 5DmkII a year ago for ~2kUSD, card and Lowepro bag included. I could have waited a year for the price drop, but I've been able to shoot for an entire year with it now. Glad I didn't wait.

I was just about to order the 5d2, only to see that prices are up again... Seems that Canon raised prices, because all retailers increased prices at the same time. Too bad, I guess that was my last chance and I'll have to wait for prices of the 6d coming down.
