I like 'industrial grunge' photos. This one is the door of a dilapidated vault in the Rookwood Necropolis in Sydney, Australia.
Hand-held - mid afternoon at about 5m distance. I was experimenting with shallow DoF. The focus is on the handle.

Mt Spokane Photography:
Tons of Aphids.  Our honeysuckle is still not open, but it will start today.  We have had cold and rain clear into the middle of June, so a sunny day is welcome.
Hummingbirds have been scouring the vine picking aphids off, and have does a really good job, except for this bud, they somehow missed it.
I know you are not supposed to just walk around with a handheld macro lens to shoot tiny creatures using autofocus, but the 100mmL lets me get away with it occasionally, even if the images are not perfect.  The wind was blowing, so this was a bit difficult to get a sharp image, and it was in the shade, so I used a on camera flash rather than setting up a separate flash.
