I am using 5d iii with this lenses. I want to take more close pictures with this lense, but I don't know how to. too much close makes the picture blurry. check these photos, these are the closest I could take. If anybody could help me ....

Take a look at these macro extension tubes.

Hmmm, I don't think it's a question of extension tubes, there's something wrong with the camera or lens.  Mine achieves 1:1 at about 30cm from the subject (using a 7D)...and can focus a bit closer tack sharp.  Same subjects:

http://www.ruddyflorentino.com/#!untitled/zoom/c3c1/image23ns

Less than 30% crop on both pics.

I am confused. The spec says the minimum focusing distance is 30 cm with a magnification of 1x. So can you state the problem again?

Those samples are definitely not indicative of the image quality at macro distance.  I don't know what the problem is, but I would definitely say the lens has got to be defective.

I took this one yesterday evening, wide open, handheld, at very close macro distance. This should be pretty much worse case scenario - but it was a piece of cake for the 100L - so there is no way that the poster above should be getting the results that they are.

+1 I prefer shooting wide open. Couple I shot wide open handheld in my garden last week.

This one right place right time. Was shooting this flower and the wasp landed on it, shot a few frames and off it flew. Bright sunlight, to freeze the action and enough depth of field 1/1600sec F9 meant ISO5000!!!!! Straight out of the camera look how useable that is! Its ridiculous. 5DMKIII with 100mm macro L

My point is that even without extension tubes farhanajahan's lens/camera combo should be performing better, so there must be something wrong with the lens or camera...

Did you AFMA the lens in macro shooting mode? If the lens works better on another camera then it is not the lens but something to do with the camera...

Just ordered mine. Upgrading from the 1990 version 100mm macro so I expect a huge improvement in the autofocus at least!

Both the first two images look very noisy for the MkIII, suggesting the light and possibly the shutterspeed was low. Certainly the third image looks like there may be some motion blur, although the ISO seems to be much lower by the lack of obvious noise. What shutterspeeds and ISO settings were you using and did you have in-camera noise reduction switched on?

Shutter speed 1/30, ISO 1600 during the sunset time, so kind of low light in my backyard...... . first 2 pictures are noisy because i did more then 30% crop.
