Yes, jepabst the 6D could easily have been made a killer camera but it would have cut into other sales.  Very nice shots.

Bought mine with the idea that it would become my second camera, more for landscapes and now I'm waiting on full reports on the 7D2.  Not at all sorry I didn't buy the 5D3 considering the price even though I do a lot of wildlife.

Hey Jack,

Random question but have you tried the 24-70 II and compared it to your 24-70 f/4 on the 6D? Although I'm leaning towards the former Camera Canada has such an awesome preorder deal going on that combines the 7D II and 24-70 f/4 for only $2099.00 that it makes me question whether the 24-70 II is really worth the $1000+ greater asking price over the f/4 (assuming I can get away with the smaller maximum aperture).

Thanks,
Brandon

Sorry Brandon, I don't have access to the F2.8 but I can say I'm pleased with the F4 and with the 6D low light and F4 is not that challenging.  Of course there is the bokeh issue but I use this WA lens mainly for scenes outdoors anyway.  Any shots I've posted that are WA will be with this lens.  The macro is handy and not useless as some have implied.  The data is in this shot taken at 24mm.  So far I'm not complaining and that deal you mentioned is VG.

Thanks for the input, Jack! I'll definitely add that to my consideration whilst I try to make a decision over the next couple of weeks. Keep up the great images, cheers!

I got a 6D over the summer but still haven't really gotten used to it. If anything the AF seems a little slower/worse than the 60D, but the difference isn't that big. It pairs so well with the 70-300L though.

First let me say this, great work, those were some of the most amazing scenes i ever saw, the best parts of course are the ones that either had clouds or stars, but the other parts were good in the least, though i am not an expert, i would advice you to shorten it, also the music is nice but a more interesting song or music might be better, and i guess a little bit more of montage, and it will become more amazing, still great work and thanks for sharing.

p.s: i love time-lapses, though i am lazy and don't always have the time, so you work is inspiring, also you might like to get a Radian to add more awesomeness :D
