Tripod, legs and ballhead grease - cleaning
« on: January 15, 2013, 05:20:03 PM »
Could someone recommend which grease should apply to tripod legs (lockers) once I clean them, rinse with water and dry them out? Can it be any grease or there is some that...?
Preferably some in Home Depot, Walmart etc so I could go and buy it now :-)

Do you clean ball heads as well? Mine seems to be fine for now, but eventually I guess I'll have to do that too. Is it complicated, should I give this part to some professional? The head is RRS BH-55.

...I found it that Phil Wood's Tenacious oil should be the best choice.

I'd just give RRS a call...
EOS 1D X, EOS 7D, and lots of lenses
