Close-up filters: Size/Performance
« on: January 21, 2013, 04:08:16 PM »
I've been playing around with Extension tubes and Close-up filters for a few years and though I know that a proper Macro lens is the way to go, this is besides the point of the current question:
Is there any theoretical/practical performance to be gained by using a bigger close-up filter with a step up ring rather than the "native" size of the lens?
