Urban Exploration - filmed with Canon 7D
« on: February 02, 2013, 06:32:58 PM »

It was my journey to the past. I just walked with my camera and saw all this around me....forgotten and it will never wake up again.
With my pictures, editing and sound design i want to bring some life back to this forgotten place ...

Amazing. You certainly met your objective. Very moving visuals and sound.

Thanks for sharing it.
Walter: Were you listening to The Dude's story? Donny: I was bowling. Walter: So you have no frame of reference here, Donny. You're like a child who wanders into the middle of a movie and wants to know...

Good use of the slider, and good work with the exposure.

Nice indeed!
Had to dwell a bit on the smooth perspectival movement (or what ever you'd call it) starting at 1.33 :)
Which PP are you using for shots like these?
5DIII+ML // 24-105L - 70-200 2.8L/2.8 IS II - 35/2 IS //\  AF/non-AF film bodies and lenses. (and half a darkroom in boxes:))

I liked it. I do have a fascination with ruins of all sorts, lives that passed through, who lived, laughed, loved, worked, cried, died, keeps my mind wandering.

Um, how to ask?
"Raika   .....forgotten and it will never wake up again."
I cannot forget what I never knew and I've never heard of Raika before.
I tried some google, got no Raika answers there either, that is indeed pretty well forgotten I guess.
Please, briefly what, where is/was Raika, what happened to cause it to be deserted? Perhaps downwind from Chernobyl?

Your video was good and eerie. Your "web" link is to an email link, not to an actual website.

You're welcome. Cool website too. I like video as much as still photo, just finding time to do both can be a chore. Cheers!
