Donating 20D to charity
« on: February 03, 2013, 03:23:57 PM »
I am thinking of donating my perfect condition 20D with it's modest non IS 18-55 kit lens.  What is it worth these days? It certainly still makes great pictures, and was serviced last year by Canon.

Good for you!

School photography clubs are a good choice.... I gave a telescope to the local highschool and they were very happy.
The best camera is the one in your hands

Maybe to some art-school in a country where they only can dream about it. Cuba for example.

For tax purposes, you can claim about $200-300 with the lens.  If you were selling it on Craigslist, You'd probably get no more than $200 depending on how good a salesman you are.
It would be a excellent gift for a school.
