Price Drops!

B&H Photo has dropped the prices on all MacBook Pro with Retina and non Retina displays as well as Macbook Air. B&H is also offering limited time savings on select laptops.

In addition to the savings on the laptops, B&H is giving 50% discounts on AppleCare with the purchase of a computer.

Of note: apple this morning released the refreshed processors and has cut the (MSRP) prices on some of the laptops

I'm not saying this is at all a bad deal, just explaining the deeper discount; when the previous models sell out, they're usually gone quickly.

Also, applecare on laptops is *really* worth it, and it 'stays with the computer' so if you like to flip your laptops every year or two because you want the newer model before price drop, you can market your old one as 'under warranty'.

I've been an Apple user ever since i picked up photography, and I must say; these computers are truly the photographers best friend. (Next to the camera gear itself, of course.)

B&H sells plenty of stuff that doesn't belong here, and to be honest I'd count laptops among them.  I'd rather this sort of thing not clutter up the main page (for example, macrumors used to have a "back page" for less relevant stuff) but it's not horrible enough for me to stop following the blog.

Computers are very much a major part of Digital Photography. I don't know about you but I use a laptop to post process my images from my Canon DSLR's (again a computer being a big part of my photography) ... many of us like to read/know about such offers ... this information is helpful to many people ... and it definately does not "clutter up the main page".

There are several threads on this forum started asking about gear and laptops.  Saying this isn't pertinent while providing snarky comments isn't really contributing to even the forum . . . let alone the main page.

Let's just shutter the site since you weren't currently in the market for this particular item.

And what "bloat" are you talking about? how many front page news on Canon rumors which you read are not related to photography?
What is strange here is that people who have been contributing with thousands of posts are not the ones cribbing about this issue, instead it is those who are pretty new with a dozen or so posts ... that says a lot.
