I haven't looked for proof, but, obviously, all or very close to all of these photos have been edited in post, either to give that Lomo/Instagram filter look, or other quite obvious repeated image, or "cut and paste" out of alignment, or many other such faux avante garde and artsy treatments.

Frankly, I'm not impressed, either by the concepts, which are somewhat shopworn and unoriginal, nor by the intended irony. I'd rather be looking at postcards at Walgreens. It's not that I "don't get it." I actually do. I just think that it still isn't very good or interesting. Sorry. It's not worth my time to look for proof of anything.

This first one shows that Jon changed the pictures color and such. It also shows that Google appears to have moved the seams around without taking new pictures.

This one is a little less edited I think, just the contrast or levels maybe?  I am not an expert.

I don't get it. I don't think a picture of a dead person is either art or good journalism, to me it's opportunistic. Maybe I just see enough of it anyway where I live. I stared down the barrel of a gun the other week with my wife next to me and our youngest daughter in the backseat.

Maybe enlarged them a bit, added some contrast, sharpness or just clicked the auto-fix button... what does it matter?
Anyhow we have to think about twice now to get the morning papers from the yard in boxers

well, nowadays you never know, people mess up a photo, convert it to b&w or throw a filter at it an call it art(sy)
wouldn't feel bad about it; doubt  (other than the op) many knew (or will remember) who the guy is..
however sounds like you need to move to a safer area...

Well I have already forgotten about him 
Moving to a safer area, well we're moving back to Europe this summer, but are certain to move to this part of the world again as it's my wife's business and I tend to like it here and I can also work down here. It's just different and by taking the right precautions one is normally safe. Thanks though!

Does Jon claim that his work hasn't been adjusted in post?  I don't know of any serious photographer (editorial, commercial or otherwise) that doesn't adjust his or her work in post. I do know of a few who pretend they don't, and do.

The point is it's not really his work in the first place, it's purportedly what he's "collected" off google maps.  I think that editing the colors, and then sticking the map controls back in is a bit of a fib.
