Where am I ?

Time for a little geography lesson.
I'll start with a traditional American landmark-classic view, first poster to correctly identify wins a nickel....

I was going to guess Monticello also, your comment about the nickel being a clear giveaway.  (For those of you outside the USA, the nickel coin features Thomas Jefferson on front and his home Monticello on back).

Another clue - this was a Devil of a shot to take with all that Blue sky....

I have to assume they are doing renovations/maintenance. Otherwise, I'll be rather alarmed that they're letting it run down.

And I hope you'll do it justice by going back in the spring and getting a picture with all the flowers in bloom.

Its not a geography lesson; its common sense lesson - and for you too.
If you click on photos they take you to your flicker a/c where previous photo is in folder named 'monticello visit' and this one in 'Duke Blue Devil', Duke being in Durham.

Not being a world traveler, I did not know 2 and 3. But Monticello is instantly recognizable. Been there several times, and have marveled at how Jefferson built the place.
