I would like to sell my 1Ds III to scrounge up some much needed cash (getting married... and that is expensive!!). eBay will not let me sell since my seller rating is too low apparently... and Amazon not getting any chance either.
 
Anyone can suggest how I could go about it? It is still a pretty good body from Canon and I do not want to let it gathering dust there in the closet...

How much are you selling it for and how much is the shutter count?

We ban buying and selling on the forum, it is in the forum rules.

We do not have a way to screen buyers or sellers, and allowing it will attract scammers.


Please do not post a offer to sell or to buy a camera on the forum.

It would be nice if we were able to allow it, but we would have to charge a fee to pay for some sort of minimal screening and buyer / seller rating software.

It was not my intention of selling directly through CR and my OP is proof of that, just asking what other options I have. Sorry for the trouble.

Find out the min. rating for selling on ebay.  Create two accounts or have a friend buy some small things from you or find some way of getting your rating up and then sell it on ebay.  You might just be able to buy lots of small things on ebay and get good ratings from the sellers to get your rating high enough.  Not sure of the min.

Those who are interested could send a private e-mail.  I'd recommend a face to face cash deal.
Craigslist and ebay have UK forums, and might be good.  Craigslist has forsale forums around the world.
