Got this lens for 6 months or so, and absolutely love it. The fact is, it has some AF errors, but I got used to it and now it produces very nice photos with stunning bokeh. Most of the time my main lens along with C 24-70L.

My copy front focuses quite badly, but it was fixed easily with a tape measure and the micro focus adjustment. Also, it's just plain easy to make errors focusing because the depth of field is so thin. Love love love this lens.

Great Sigma 50 pix folks!  I especially like the self portrait.

It looks like this thread could use an update.  Here is one I took in the Portland train station with the Sigma 50 at F/2.0, 1/160, ISO 400, 5D3.  Minimal crop, minimal post.

I like this lens for shots and video, however it does have a noisy autofocus when doing video.

This is my favorite lens.  Oddly, its also my most inexpensive one.  I love the character of the photos it takes.

Love this lens.  Focus isn't ultra fast, but works fine for most scenarios.  Quality at 1.4 is quite good.  Bokeh is lovely.  I haven't used the Canon 50 1.4 and really don't have much curiosity about it :)
