So does anyone know if dealers honor the actual rebates or is this only from Canon direct? The 6D + 24-105 lens package has a $200 rebate bringing it down to $2399. But it's already $2399 from B+H and Amazon. Will they still give the $200 off? Just not super clear how it works. And this is the camera that I have been thinking of upgrading to.
Thanks.
in the past, dealers were required to return their pricing to minimum advertised price to be eligible for the rebate to be applicable, so you did see the price go up by a hundred and then drop by two hundred. but last year canon forced authorized retailers to go to minimum advertised pricing which I don't think lasted long, but I could be wrong about that.
I forget if it was adorama or b&h, but they had their sale pricing at midnight and then the rebate kicked in so you could double dip. and then the following day their price went to minimum advertised price. so look around for what you want and maybe you'll find a good deal.
