L bracket for 1Dx
« on: May 06, 2013, 11:19:04 AM »
I noticed that the RRS L bracket for the 1Dx does not have threaded socket to attached a BR strap.

Besides (1) living with this defiency, (2) buying a Kirk L bracket, or (3) using a mini clamp any other suggestions on how to use (or not use) a BR strap with this camera?

The RRS modular bracket design is awesome, IMO.

I think a mini clamp is actually the best solution - safer (torsional stress is on the connection with Loctite), and faster to move the strap connection from body to lens or remove it for tripod mounting.

Thanks for information.

I was hoping that there would be threaded socket at L point of the bracket so it would not interfere with the mounting the plate in either orientation
