It's also interesting to follow the Nikon Rumour's site as well.
It gives a nice feel about how much people are dependent on new releases.

I will assume the companies follow this with amusement...

My thoughts right now is that we will not see any new Canon EOS-bodies or lenses under 2011.

Have to disagree, i think we will see a new FF body, or maybe even 2.

I suspect Canon have a game plan that allows them to mix and match releases according to what Nikon do. I'm guessing if you asked a Canon exec privately, they could tell you what Nikon's release optins are, and vice versa with Nikon! ;)
