Really, does anyone reading this forum even care about this point-and-shoot crap? A new RAW-shooting compact with full manual controls would be another story...
Not to be critical of CR, but I suspect there aren't even many readers interested in developments in the Rebel line.

I am. I mostly lurk because I don't have a lot to add to discussions, but I am not ready to jump into the DSLR market, but I feel I have outgrown my pocket-sized point and shoot. So I am highly interested in the SX30 replacement. So I check Canon Rumors often to see when it's announced and what the specs will be.
