Canon Consumer Survey – Tell Us What You Think!

Yesterday Canon sent out emails with a customer survey. Canon does this once or twice a year if I remember correctly.

So they are testing the waters, too. Let's see who lands the first mirrorless - Nikon or Canon. If they decide to go ahead with it.

We already have micro four thirds, which can allows crunching quality sensors into compact bodies. What's up with that?

In all seriousness though, I'd love to see a Canon equivalent so I don't have to make one of the choices above. But to be honest I'm probably going to do a NEX5N very soon.

Survey focused heavily on what brand and model in mirrorless and why the importance of that purchase, if you indicated owning MFT camera already. Also it surveyed primary use of the camera.

My hopes are that Canon will see the niche of having a mirrorless camera with a square APS-C size sensor that allows use of existing line of EF lenses, besides new pancake lenses. This would blow (rumored)Nikon, Sony, Oly and Pan current niches in mirrorless cameras. Just hoping

As much as I want a NEX 7, a Canon APS-H or FF sensor in a body like the NEX 7would make me a very happy boy.

If they ask the customer just now that means, that they probably won't have any concrete products in the pipeline. Otherwise they wouldn't ask. So I guess the next DSLRs will (thankfully) have a mirror on board.

Are we sure this is genuine?  I find it strange that a professional survey generator would make such an elementary mistake to place "disinterested" instead of "uninterested" as the opposite of "interested". 

I am disinterested in the product, insofar as I have nothing to lose or gain by its success or otherwise, but am also extremely interested in the development.
