Excellent shots.  I am contemplating this lens.

Were these manual or auto-focus on the 7D?  If AF, which one did you use?

Thanks!

All AF. I use back button AF, and on the 7D I mix between single point AF (with joystick to move around), and Ai Servo. With my kid running around I usually switch to Servo (programmed the DOF preview button to quick switch).

if you are thinking about this lens, get it.  it is the best normal zoom on aps-c, it's super sharp and nice bokeh. here are some shots that i took when working on af. nothing super artistic, just testing but you can see what it can do.

Very nice photos! Nice use of DOF. Photos look sharp. Nice looking family too. Are these straight out of the camera? I've been contemplating this lens as well. Thanks!

I love the lens too.  I did use the USB doc to fine tune it.  This was at an XMAS Party.

Hi,

thanks for the images, the lens seems to proof Sigma's way to high quality with acceptable price strategy.
