Sounds to me like they are having trouble selling their current stock. I think the pricing was too ambitious with the 60D now on the used market for $500. The 70D is a great camera though and has the benefit of the new dual phase sensor for video. The camera performs very well for even the current price. I was able to capture BIF using it without a problem.
I did, however, end up selling mine after getting back from my fall eagles trip. I sold it for more used than what BH is selling it for new!
