Which Canon DSLR camera is best for video?
« on: December 18, 2013, 02:55:30 PM »
I love using Canon cameras for professional videos. But which is the best one?

Is Canon 5D Mark II / III the best camera? What about Canon 70D, 7D?
Which camera should a new user buy? Does Canon 7D Mark II make the difference in future?

All of the above...

Both 5D mark II & mark III are excellent cameras, I know the mark III has an anti-aliasing filter.
The 70D has auto-tracking or auto-focus during video, whereas the 7D doesn't.

The newer models have better low light capabilities versus the older models, and the FF image quality is better than the APS-C models.

But, and this is a big 'but,' you can use any camera and get the same result, if you have the right tools.
Depends on what you want to shoot, how you want to shoot it, etc.

The body is only a 1/4 or less of the total production. Even with the right lens and lighting, you're probably only 1/2.
