A7R + Sony 10-18mm f4 OSS
Hi Dylan ... what focal length and settings did you use?

f7.1 @ 1/30 ISO100

All of the photos I took have funny color on the left. See below. Best focal lenghts are 14 and 15mm, but still showing the funny colors on the left.

The lens is very light and feel GREAT on A7r, however, the IQ is NOT good.
Yikes! :o ... that's not good news for a lens that costs nearly $900 ... but the good news is, the a6000 will be available in less then 2 months and that should be a perfect match for this lens.

Little disappointed that doesn't work well on ff, but totally understand this lens wasn't design for ff. There is no doubt this lens will be great on crop.

Now I'm having second thoughts about the Sony 10-18 f/4 ... not because I think its bad, but because I recently had a chance to play with the Panasonic GX7 and I am really impressed ... the "silent" shutter is truly silent and I can autofocus by touching the touch screen while I am looking through the view finder. So I have developed real bad GAS for that little camera, plus the prospect of having a 200mm - 600mm equiv focal length in a very small package (100mm-300mm lens) is very enticing and fits perfectly for the kind of confined areas I move in (on our company's rig floor). However, the Tamron 150-600 VC had made my choice very difficult, the bloody thing is just not available for purchase online (our local dealer does have it in stock but he is selling it at around US$ 1800 ... that's a good US$ 580 more than what I'd have to pay through B&H, including shipping and customs) ... so I'm suffering from severe GAS for the past few days :-\

Do you use Lightroom or Photoshop? I'll make one, but if this is a consistent issue I'd get the camera looked at.

Actually it is the lens ... Dylan was trying out a Sony 10-18mm lens, designed for crop frame NEX cameras, ... but it is known to work as a 12-17mm lens on full frame lens ... I suppose the color is somewhat expected, but good to know it can be easily fixed.

I have LR5. The color issue only happen on Sony 10-18mm,which designed for crop. With native Zeiss FE 55, I have no issue.

Thanks in advance :)

OK here is my little video, just like the other couple I have done for the forum please forgive the sound and production qualities, I am a stills shooter  :D

I realise I didn't do a perfect job but you can see the concept and the important bit, shoot a test plain background and make a custom preset, then it is just one click away. Or, send me a RAW file of a plain grey card and I will make you one.

Edit: Redid the vid with a slightly better sound and video, here is the new link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jrvm5477wz423i9/Sony%2010-18%20copy.mov
