« on: February 11, 2014, 06:28:58 AM »

Below are some images of known cameras being announced tomorrow. The new Rebel will sit at the bottom of Canon’s DSLR line.

The PowerShot D30 continues the waterproof/shockproof line from Canon and the SX700 HS is a small large zoom compact.

EOS Rebel X-what?

Kiss X70 by all accounts.  Probably equates to 1150D or 1200D in UK-speak

Why don't any of the underwater compacts shoot raw?
Some cameras… With Canon written on them. Oh, and some lenses… Also with Canon written on them. Oh, and a shiny camera with Fuji written on it too...

Why don't any of the underwater compacts shoot raw?

Because they would be even slower than 1.9fps compared to the 5-10fps of competitors.
