Certainly interesting, you can see the amount of engineering detail that goes into these lenses and why good optics aren't exactly cheap.

Thanks for superb post, very interesting to have a this very nice view on whats going on inside.

For me especially 200-400 zoom and Zeiss Otus are very remarkable pieces of engineering.

Very impressive. It is a way to justify the high price of modern lenses. Tamron 150-600 also seems quite well done. Actually, the litmus test would be to see a full version, but with metal parts replaced with clear acrylic to see the focus settings acting like a real lens.
