any records to raw to both cards?
« on: March 12, 2014, 04:36:33 PM »
Hi

Does anyone record raw to both cards simultaneously?  This would give a bit of extra security in case a card failed, but seems like over kill since I have yet to have a card die in the field.

I do...but that's on a 1D X with dual CF.  Writing RAW to the 5DIII's SD slot is a speed-killer.

i do as well, i don't motor drive all that much so any loss of speed is not a big deal for me.

I do as well. Yeah it's an overkill but it only cost me a few dozen bucks (more or less 80 to 100 CNY for a 16gb class 10 sandisk SD here) so what the heck.
