I bought my 7D Mark II last friday and rented a 100-400mm this weekend to try (this is my first DSLR so I'm really new to all this). All these were opened in DPP, saved as TIFF, edited in Lightroom. Feel free to critique, it's the only way I'll learn :) Hmm I need to learn how to post these, it's not working properly :(

URL to my flickr account then, until I figure this out :/ (there's only 4 images)

Awesome pictures. First DSLR? You are off to a strong start.

Only comment would be to watch out for the weird Bokeh that you can get with the 100-400L. I think it has something to due with the IS trying to stabilize motion between the subject and the OOF background but I'm not really sure. I only really notice it when IS is engaged. A bit evident on the first and slightly more on the last. I've seen it a lot worse and I don't think it really detracts form these images. Just mentioned it so you can keep an eye out for it.  Very nice

Thank you for the nice comments :) I'm definitely having a hard time staying still, the weight of the camera and lens is something I'll need to adapt to. After two full days of shooting this weekend, my arms definitely feel it (and my neck too). It's a good point about the bokeh, I'll have to watch for that, thank you :)

A couple football pics from Friday night on a poorly lit field.  JPEGs from the camera with slight editing and minor cropping in Lightroom (be glad when the raw converter is updated since that is what I shoot most of the time).  Happy with the result.  Shot these with a 70-200 2.8L II.
