I suppose unless you own a video rig that supports an external monitor you may not understand.

The camera girl was uncomfortable.  What an epic fail. Footage looked good though.

So, there was a small time outfit with a videographer probably in training who couldn't hoist the heavy load of camera and equipment.  There is noting to hint to me that anything failed other than she was uncomfortable and inperienced.  We all start out that way.

Perhaps instead of dismissing us all as ignorants, you could explain us what you meant?  A post saying: "you probably wouldn't understand" is of zero usefulness.  I'm sure it would have taken you as long or even be shorter to explain your issue.

Rafa.

That's not a FAIL of the camera, the crew just didn't outfit/rig the camera properly for shooting off the shoulder.  You can put a conventional EVF on it.

Still has absolutely nothing to do with the RED camera. as RunAndGun and RafaPolit acknowledge. This post is seemingly arrogant and the video reflects discomfort of a crew member based on whatever decisions they made or could afford in that situation.. not at all a reflection of the RED brand or hardware.

Here's the problem with forums, too many individuals take themselves and their opinions too seriously. Obviously, it's not a reflection of Red's equipment - as far as we know - but the poor utilization and handling of Red. If you knew anything about the Red users, they're some of the most uptight keisters on the net and that's why it's funny.

If it were a C300 I'd title the topic - 'T2i User Dave Dugdale videos a Canon C300 FAIL'

Pointless video IMO...

Seems like he is just raging cause he didn't get asked for model releases for his children.

He does seem almost out of control with rage.  He should look into anger management classes.

I thought he seemed more intrigued with the fact that a professional crew was shooting a "short feature film" in the same place his kids were skating, and being a bit of a video buff, he was interested in the camera.
