I don´t have any landscapes yet, but here´s a seascape. Shot today at the beautiful Elafonisi beach, on the southwest coast of Crete. I have not had time to process anything properly, so this is just rushed through LR on my laptop. It is actually unfair to this camera to post full size pictures, since it is impossible to show the detail. So I´ll add one crop.

Here´s another, with more green. This is the northwestern view from our house on Crete. (very hasty post processing ...)

I added Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM image samples. These were taken at a party with a 580EX II attached.

This was where I encountered an “Err 20” when I shot stills after taking 3 to 6 minute videos. Hopefully this can be solved with a simple firmware update.

Other image samples include Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM and Canon EF 800mm f/5.6L IS USM.

All of the images shared are not how Canon marketed the camera to be used as. ;)

I hope you get it soon surapon. Wish I waited. Some shops here are selling it way way below MAP. Although you will need to fly to Manila to get it.

I cross my fingers for you Surapon!

And Gary, who would have guessed; You can actually shoot both animals, birds AND the moon with this thing  :P

I´ve spent the evening going through the images I shot at Elafonisis, one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece, today. And the conclusion, which includes my son´s very critical eye, is that we are very impressed. We all know that resolution is outstanding. But what makes us impressed is how that resolution is match with all the other qualities we´re after. I believe a 1DX/5DSR combo will fulfill every photography aspiration I may have (but I want better manual focus support, with changeable focusing screens!!!). If I were a portrait photographer, I would consider something else than a 5DS/DSR though. With that level of detail, where every facial hear, skin imperfection etc. screams at you, it probably takes ages in PP to keep happy customers (women that is :) ).

This is another from Elafonisis (speedily processed over (or was it during ..) a bottle of wine). If you ever have a chance to go there, you should ;) With the lava rocks, it could have been Hawaii.
