You spotted it correctly and I should've included that stabilizer item in the hardware list
my mates in the production line made me the metal pipe version. It took away the most of the jittering in the shots. For the dance video we picked up wheelchair to do the dolly shots.
I probably shouldnt have, but I decided to use the 70-200 on the dolly shots and man, even with the stabilizer its tough to keep still.
The first video was completely handheld and pretty tough to do editing on I remember hehe.
The love story video we did some easy pans which aren't that tough if you decide to keep a fixe distance to the subject. Also we arrived at the conclusion that a dead on focus isnt necessary if the shot works
sometimes the gentle off focus has a Nice effect.
The general idea from the director was that the handheld look was diserable, but one thing ive learned is that handheld, isnt completely handheld...
One thing that you should prepare yourself for it strengthening your back and.shoulder muscles as the camera with ( especially the 70-200) will get heavy quite fast. Its an awkward working position holding the camera out away from your body for longer durations.
With that said... I cant wait till I can afford an arm and vest!
