Changes to dials on Canon 5D and 7D

In case anyone is interested there is a link on Canon website showing they will make changes to 5D and 7D bodies for the lock switch - al la 60D on the dial.

Perhaps a bit overkill, I personally have not had problems with the dials, but perhaps that is just me.

I think it's a nice addition; it happens to me from time to time that the dial moves accidentally, resulting in a lost shot. I wouldn't spend $100 on it, however. For some professionals it could perhaps be worth it.

I've taken many thousands of images with my 5D MK II and never had a problem with the mode dial accidentally turning.

I've taken many thousands of images with my 5D MK II and never had a problem with the mode dial accidentally turning.
I have, but only during the transition to or from my bag.  I've had a few shots ruined, but not $100 worth.  If it was fifty bucks with a turnaround of 3 days I'd think about it harder but it just doesn't seem worth it.
