I bought a 16-35mm II USM for my 5DMII and everything is perfect except for sometimes when i focus the metere goes a little wonky after the makes the "focused" noise. it usually happens when there is alot of light in the picture. Is it just all the light messing with the focus? or do i have a faulty lens?
it doesnt happen very often..which is why im thinking its because of the light. im just a little worried.

From what your describing, it sounds like what my 50mm f/1.4 does when it can't find something with enough contrast to autofocus. Is the autofocus going back and forth hunting for something to lock in on?
