Any rumors about 70D ?

I am using 40D for sometime now, and judging from my skills and my budget I tend to stay within the xxD series.
I would like to change to other xxD series but im waiting for 70D, if its too expensive then I will try to buy 60D when 70D already out, but if the price is the same with current 60D, I think i will buy it.
So was wondering if theres a rumor about 70D lauching date?

I haven't heard any solid rumours yet, but most people expect to see it launched at Photokina in September (on the shelves for Christmas).  I expect that it will be slightly more expensive for a few reasons:

1.  Canon got a bit screwed over by the D7000's high specifications and wants to get back to a higher price point for the XXD range. 

2. I think that Canon wants to add more value to the 7D MkII by increasing specifications and pushing up its price point (61pt AF, 10fps?).  A higher specced 70D could then take the 7D's current space in the lineup. 

3. It allows them more room to increase the price point of the XXXD range. 

4. And/or introduce a compact system camera (mirrorless) inbetween the XXXD and XXD price points.

Hi,, just my 2 Cents worth here,, I was in the same situation, ,watching for the 5d MIII, I now have a 450D.
I would love to make the FF jump, but not at that price level.  I don't get paid to shoot,, (yet)  lol

I went ahead and bought the 7D just two weeks ago, and I have NO buyers remorse at all.  I love the 7D so far,
I still have a learning curve with it, I shoot with a 24-105 L and a 100-400 L,, and the camera works GREAT.

I shoot outdoors, mostly,, Air shows, landscapes, wildlife.

No rumors but since it's such fun to speculate, here's my opinion too.

70D announcement at Photokina is very likely, IMO, since Canon will want to boost their Christmas sales.

I agree with others that the 70D will be spec'd better and priced higher than the 60D.
My prediction is that the 70D will announced at $1399 in the US.
In terms of specs, it will be a rebadged 7D basically - but with a lighter and smaller body (that is, less 'pro').

Of course if these predictions are correct, the 7D line will be discontinued.
