Canon Rumors:
Something coming I received some vague information that Canon will announce something beyond point and shoots for CES, which runs from January 6 – January 9 in Las Vegas. It is a camera of some kind, no word on exactly what. I have been told there will be no lenses announced with the product. I hope to have more information soon, and I expect I will. cr

Catastrophile:
must be some sort of a video camera, maybe one that takes EF/EF-S lenses.

justicend:
Beyond Point and shoot means DSLR or medium format I guess, Definetly No lens with the product means, it's interchangable. Have to wait until then.

Edwin Herdman:
If it was a mirrorless camera I would've expected new lenses to be announced - or maybe EF-S really is appropriate enough in this segment.  I wouldn't expect them to show a new mount (seems wasteful) and I really wouldn't expect them to show a new mount without a lens, or to show the camera with a new lens but not "announce" it (how would that work anyway?)

Anyway, interesting stuff.  Perhaps this means more buyers will be entering the realm of interchangeable lenses soon - I used to think that the TS-E on a low-end T1i was pretty unusual, but imagine tilt-shifts or Super Telephotos on a mirrorless body o_O

armando:
omg teaser  :o i'm guessing a lot of folks are saying "5d mk iii !!!"   ;D
