I still have my 7D.  They use the same batteries.

I noticed my growing pile of LP-E6 batteries.  With the new cam I'll have four.

X ) Look into multiple battery charger.

I've got 4 as well (gripped 5DII and gripped 7D), but two cameras = two chargers, which is sufficient for my needs.
EOS 1D X, EOS 7D, and lots of lenses

I hate you.... Pay no mind, however, that is just the jealousy talking.
I'm checking here every hour or so because no US retailer is giving anyone any sort of information. I'd love to have the camera this week, but I'd even be willing to have the knowledge that I will be receiving it mid April. It's not the wait that's destroying my brain, it's the not knowing.
5DIII 8-200mm minus 35mm in there.

I cleaned up the garage, installed insulation, and am putting in drywall this weekend.  It's perfect for a studio - 22 feet long, 13 foot ceilings, 14 feet wide.  To be painted all white... Converted photography studio/man cave.  I'll be glad to send pictures (with the new Mark III of course) when I'm done if anyone is interested.
5D Mark III, decent collection of Canon lenses and Canon flashes, Samyang 35mm 1.4 - my MF toy.

Just a quick suggestion... if your making a photo studio, paint your walls black... That way you wont have light bounce/wrap around/flare by unintentional light bouncing off the white walls uncontrolled.  Black walls absorbs the stray light and you can make sure only light that you want to hit your subject/background/etc is present.  This becomes even more important with high key shots because light bounces around so much off backgrounds/walls/etc it can easily get out of control if your not careful.
Canon 5d III, Canon 24-105L, Canon 17-40L, Canon 70-200 F4L, Canon 100L 2.8, 430EX 2's and a lot of bumps along the road to get to where I am.

That sounds like a great recommendation.  It might be hard to get permission from the GF to paint the walls black (flat black i'm guessing), since changing the color down the road from black is rather difficult.  Maybe I'll go with a black muslin curtain system.  That I could do.  Thoughts on a 12' long black muslin curtain system that I can extend around the parameter of this garage and do on the cheap?  My 5D mark III should be coming this weekend so a curtain system sounds quicker to me than lots of painting.

Black material could work fine...  You may want to shop around to see affordable prices for muslin or go to a local fabric shop or even an arts and craft store to see what thicker material they have that's dark enough... It may be kinda spendy compared to flat matte black paint, but if needed, do what's best for your budget.  Ebay may be a good option for black material for muslins and fabric... It doesn't have to be flawless in quality or such, it just needs to serve it's purpose in this case, and that is controlling light bounce and wrap around.
