Thank you very much. It was also my walk-around lens when I had my 40D. Now my walk-around lens is the 16-35mm II which I also like a lot.

@esbenlp Great shots! Question: If this was your walk around, when were you walking around in space?! How did you get those curvature of the earth shots with the blackness of space above?  I can't believe no one else on this forum said anything about that! good stuff.

No.  That does not seem like the type of wildlife I want to do close-up wide angle shots of!

I use almost all the time 10-22 when I'm in the wild or in city travel. The zooming range is so versatile and when  used with polarizer the colors are unbeatable.

Nothing beats this lens for storms on a Canon crop.  In the past I always had to drive a couple more miles with the 17-40 if I wanted to get the whole storm in.




Lightning flashing as the shot started flashed the truck body.


One of the best qualities of the lens is you can point it at light sources and just not get flares.  Best flare resistant thing I've shot. 


Also great for atmospheric optics.
