Graduation 2012 - Taken on 6-2-12 with the Canon 5D Mark III & Canon 50mm 1.4 USM @ 1/320, F2.2, ISO 100, hand held, exposure 0.00. no flash, 6:15pm, AWB. Slight post processing (decrease) on Red tones. The girl's skin tone was perfect however the male had a bit of reddish skin color (natural) so dropped it down a notch. Converted from RAW to JPG then to JPG resize 1920x1280.
The girl's hair appeared fuzzy on first post. Turns out it was the 1920 x 1280 file size. This then is a 1024 from flickr. Click image for larger file (1920x1280)

HDR processed through Photomatix 4.2 using the Raw files, 7 bracketed shots from -4 to +4. I didn't do any tweaking in Photomatix, just took one of the presets ("Photography" if I remember right). Shot with a 24-70, 24mm ISO 100. I also took the same shot with the in-camera HDR mode which produced a shot that was significantly greener. I'm usually pretty happy with how the 5D3 HDR mode performs, in this case Photomatix gave me a more realistic shot.

This is a fine program especially with the improved speed over the previous version 3.x. I've been experimenting with tweaking some of the default presets and have gotten much better results. I initially kept choosing the Photographic preset as well until I noticed the shadowed areas were much darker than the original and in fact I was losing DR. I reverted back to Default or Enhanced. Tweaked those some and saved my own templates to get more natural proper results.
