This is a first time picture posting, so I don't know how well it's going to come out...
Many years ago, sailing in the Norwegian fjords, I saw a great picture one dark evening of the full moon rising over the entrance to a narrow fjord, next to a lighthouse. I was on a rocking boat, with 200ISO film loaded into my Canon EOS100, no image stabalisation, and no way I could take the picture.
Come forwards to today, and this may not be the greatest picture in the world, but it reminds me of how much things have advanced. This picture of Alderney was taken off the back of the FastCat ferry, doing 25 knots in rough water, with my 5D MkIII at 12,800ISO, 300mm f5.6 - and at a ridiculous shutter speed of 1/6th!
