Great to see the 5D3 folks are putting up a fight! I will add my pictures too this week. Otherwise it is the 1DX crowd that takes the cake specifically eml, gary, bdunbar, bornshooter etc. well, we will be back! Besides we have 4 megapix more ;)

Agreed RPT, the 1Dx crew has some very, very fine shooters as you mentioned several of the best of the best.  But you're right, there are some incredible 5d3 shooters out there as well!  Hopefully they just keep on posting!  Proud to own my 5D3 and my 7D! ;D

I've used both the 1DX and 5DIII.  Both have their advantages and were purpose built for different kinds of photography.  The 1DX does offer some DR advantages and unless you are shooting over ISO 6400, the 5DIII equals and in some cases betters the 1DX on noise.  The main reason for this I've found to be the sensor size.  The 5DIII noise patterns are smaller due to the higher pixel density.  They are easier to randomize and push into the shadows.  I will post some wildlife shots later.

Love the pics, but have to ask: why don't you straighten your horizon? If nothing else, I'd think it would add to the drama here.

Glad you like them! Regarding the last photo, I generally like to shoot things at canted angles from time to time. However, I re-cropped the photo and I must say, it does look better with a level horizon. Thanks for the critique!

Finally got to some of my Images from the last trip taken with the 5DMK III, most of my last Africa trip was to shoot Leopards, at night, I found the 1Dx was the Tool for most, not all, of the night time shoots, I also found the 1Dx did work better on high ISO than the 5DMK3, but the 5DMK3 is no slouch in the High ISO department either.

Leopard: 5DMKIII 400f/2.8 V2, Shot @ f/4.5 & 1/640th ISO500

Zebras: 5DMKIII 70-200f/2.8 II, Shot @ f/5.6 & 1/200th ISO250
