Staying with the Menacing/Big Teeth Theme.

Both shot with the 5DMK III & 300 f/2.8 II

I agree that bottom one is to die for, incredible!  Processing in LR?

Menace yours is great too, and I agree...can't help but imagine what it would be like to be eaten alive...horrible!!

Sure will be horrible - stuff of nightmares!

f2.8 @ 400mm, ISO400, 1/1000

GREAT shot Menace ;)

He was lying down, suddenly got up, roared once and lay down again. I only managed to take five shots! Very fortunate.

5Dmk111 + Canon 300f2.8mk11 lens ISO 4000. Low light performance brilliant with this combination

Lovely Image, my favourite Animal in the Wild, great capture of the Leopard having a drink off his nose, really, well done.

If I might offer one little piece of prospective advice ?? Try the image slightly cropped so the Green Bush on right & left are cropped out, what you will end up with is the Animal swimming in a space where everything is OOF, except the Animal and the rain drops are more obvious, gives the background more of that early morning dreamy effect, or not.

And your right, although I tend now to use the 200-400 for most of my Wildlife Images, I still bring my 300f/2.8 II for those shots that need complete sharpness and low light, it's a remarkable Lens.

Hi Carl, yes LR5, I tend to bring everything into LR and use that to manage files, make basic adjustments in LR, move to PS CC then I either use Layers in PS or now I often find myself in On One, I like that programme.

Small story on the Pissed Leopard Image, I was shooting across the front of my youngest Boy, so he was closest to the Animal shooting with a Nikon (I originally thought that was why the Animal was annoyed), immediately after this image the Leopard charged the vehicle, I dropped the Camera and grabbed my Lad, the Leopard actually rammed into the side of the vehicle, then went and laid back down growling at us.

We had come across this Lady immediately after she had been run off by a large group of Baboons & she had lost out on a Kill & taken a Baboon beating, I guess in hindsight we should have let her calm down a bit before further annoying her. But the strange behaviour was she wouldn't leave the area, so we decided to come back the following day.

The next day, same area we came across The Female as per the first Image, chomping down on one of her protagonists from the previous Day, Mr or Mrs Baboon.

Around 2 hours later she moved off to a large clump of fallen Logs, and the second Image showed us what the strange behaviour was about. The young Cub was probably just 5 or 6 weeks old & Baboons have a built in behaviour of killing Leopard Cubs.

Both these Images were in fact shot with the 1DMK IV & I think the 400f/2.8 V1 Lens.

Nice shot! You do have to clean your sensor though. And if the images had been shot 1/100s earlier, you would probably have the entire dog in the frame and maybe also sharp focus on his head. And if, on top of that, the car had been removed, it would have been really outstanding!

After all that good advice, I must say the moment I looked at this image it reminded me of the "Hired Wolf" Image by Jose Luis Rodriguez.

Such a pity regards the end of the story because I still find it one of those Classically Beautiful Images.

Half way to Nothing's image just goes to show how you can get a Dog/Wolf to perform, nice Dog as well.

In January, there was a storytelling session at one of the schools in my city. There were a number of tellers and I had a ball taking pictures. I thought I was the only one with a camera but apparently with the ingenious use of both your thumbs and your index fingers you can make a perfectly good camera. Take a look at this image...

Not such an impressive photo as is the impressiveness of the bridge.

Here is a link, because I can't resize it.
