Knocked out by 5DmkII with 24-105mm and tripod
Manxdip:
Just thought share this will all you Canon people. Hope you don't mind me putting it in the Forum.
I slipped in the hills with my camera and it smashed me in the face, resulting in me being knocked out for about 15mins and I was on my own. I ended up with a broken tooth and pieced lip.
So what can I take from this experience? Well, if I am ever get attacked by some hit gang then I know my weapon!

Grendel:
Ouch, that's a costly stumble :( Hope you and the camera are ok besides the obvious.
Manxdip:
Yeah the body and lens were fine, but there was a fair amount of blood on the back of the body and tripod. The issue was wearing the strap with the tripod. But I'm always paranoid about just leaving the camera on the tripod whilst walking/running. Just wear it as a back up.
Macadameane:
This provides some new selling points for Canon:
1. Built in security club *(longer lens required)
2. Weather sealed AND blood sealed
3. DiG!C 4: budget alternative to dental needs.
bvukich:
That's hardcore.
I salute you sir.
