They moved the zoom button to the right side and can no longer zoom my photos with one hand.  I looked in the menus but is there a way to change it back to use the buttons next to AF-On?

You can assign the zoom function to the Set button.

I have the SET button set to magnify and use the Main Dial on top to zoom in and out.
