I think it is a great summary. And he is a great presenter it takes away all the BS seriousness we have been seeing.
At the end of the day they are both great cameras you cant take that away from either of them.
The D800 is a crop monster but is quite slow with the file sizes so will be great for studio, landscape or even wedding photography.
The 5D MKIII is the best of both worlds 23mp is no slouch and the files are more than sufficient for stunning A2 prints. Basically designed as the all rounder. Great for gigs, sports, full frame quality, perfect wedding camera IMHO, smaller files needing less processing power and less storage PP lower noise.
I dont understand the hatred it has seen already I think its a wonderful camera and improves an already great camera with features that make it truly brilliant! For me who shoots a bit of everything the perfect camera. Been waiting up upgrade my 40D for years now but nothing has tickled my fancy. This is basically a supercharged full frame 40D which is perfect IMO! Also for me who hasnt shot on FF before im sure the difference will me mind boggling.
The only thing I was a bit miffed about was the 30% price hike but with the economy and the exchange rates it makes sense not really Canons fault. Whereas Nikon needed to make a cheaper beast to win back switch overs when the MKII came out so sucked up the costs and make more money on lenses.
Plus there hasnt been a bad review yet and most people are siding with the 5D they will never be able to produce a 'perfect camera' because how will they make money in the future? and how much will it cost!
Just my 2P.
