Topic: Tripod collar for 70-300L: Does it really exist? (Read 2364 times)
The part certainly does exist - I bought two in early February here in the UK
Workshops & Tours for Wildlife & Nature Photography - NaturesLens - http://natureslens.co.uk - often to be found shooting with a 1DX mainly coupled to an EF 200-400mm f/4L IS USM Extender 1.4x or an EF 300mm f/2.8L IS II USM
I was on the B&H "back backordered" list for over a year and finally got the email that it was available if I still wanted the item about 6 months ago. I am happy with the Canon version as several attempts at purchasing through ebay had less than satisfactory results. I think that they get a "few" in from time to time and then they are snapped up by those on the "list".
I bought a knock-off on e-Bay for less than $50 that worlds just fine. It is made in China if that means something to you, however,
