Mark III in stock or no?

Anyone hear of stores actually having the Mark iii in stock?  I can kick myself for passing up an opportunity to walk out of the store last week with one -- I had a preorder from B&H, and thought I could reasonably expect it to arrive in the next couple of days.

After calling this week, I was told by B&H that I wouldn't get my camera until 'late April' at the earliest.  You can bet I cancelled my preorder.

And as you probably guessed, now my local store has none in stock.  Stupid, stupid, stupid!!!

Does this experience sound familiar?  What strategies are others using to get their cameras?

Kits have been available, check Adorama.  Several others have kits as well.  If you pre-order, it should be a couple of weeks or less.
 
You can always sell the kit lens for a hundred dollars over your cost.

Frustrating that the kit version is more available then the body only.  Am still looking for a body only in stock...

I've placed an order at BeachCamera.com.  They say 1 to 2 business days.  I will call later today to get a better estimate on when it will ship.  Standard shipping is free...but because I found a $25 coupon code ( BeachAprilShowers25 ), I selected to upgrade to 2nd business day shipping ( $11 to my zip).

Hope this helps.  Anyone been successful with getting one from Beach Camera?

Try Best Buy.  It is not available for shipping via an internet order, but you can click on "Check Shipping & Availability" then click on "Check Stores" and enter your zip code.  I got mine last week same day in-store pick up at Westbury, NY.  I just checked now and body only is available for in-store pick up at Valley Stream, NY.  Worth a try if you live near a Best Buy store.

Called Beach Camera this afternoon and they said my 5D III will ship tomorrow.  I hope to have it Friday or Monday...cannot wait.  Hope it lives up to the hype, since I sold my 5D II already.

B&H says they shipped my 5D Mark III via UPS and have the charge pending on my credit card. Gave me a tracking # but UPS doesn't recognize it yet.  I pre-ordered 3/03/12.

Just got a tracking number from Beach Camera for my 5D III...it will arrive on Sat. 4/07/2012.  Really fast...ordered it on Tuesday ( 04/03/2012) afternoon.
