Not nearly as good as sanj's spitting cobra, but a sequence showing what you can catch at 12fps.

And while this one was actually shot with a 1D Mark IV, which is only 10 fps, sometimes that allows you to get the perfect shot:

1dx's 12 fps make certain shots a possibility which other camera's would struggle to get.

Please post any such photos you may have.

Here is one of mine. There were 3 of us on the ground with 1dx, 5d3 and 7d. But only the 1dx got this photo...
sanj,
For those of us that will never experience 12 fps, could you, would you please post a few of your 'spray' frames before and after the snake spray you've already posted, show us what we are missing?

.

Thanks all for posting such lovely photos!
Tolusina: So sorry I do not have before/after photos. 12fps fills up the hard drives rather fast so I delete all CR2 files that I do not need. Here is what you would find interesting: None, except one, of the before/after photos had a hint of venom coming out. That is how fast the snakes are. I am attaching few photos of the event.
The last one is hilarious to me. All three of us are so seriously trying to find that one frame which has the venom in it...
THAT IS WHAT I am not interested in in this thread. Shots that have nothing before or after... shots where 12fps makes one lucky...

Bret.
This was in Namibia. There is a small snake park run by this great guy Stretch. It is right outside one of the gates of Etosha national park.
