Nice!!!! Is The GTO shot a handeheld pan??

That shot was taken with a rig/boom attached to the hood/bonnet. The camera is then attached to the rig, which allows holding the shutter open for several seconds. The car is only moving 1-2 mph.

I'm 13 years old in my 1st year of photography and I use a Canon 500d. Really enjoy my camera.

A 13-year old with a Rebel, huh?  I don't know if you plan to stay in photography but you seem to have talent for it!

Jim
I'd probably do better to invest more time and less money.

Great work, Miles.  I especially like that you have taken the time to give each photo a Headline and Description/Caption.  Keep it up!

My trusty Canon 550d, Tokia 11-16mm.
This is 2 exposures taken one right after the other.
The sky - 30sec, Iso1600, f2.8, 11mm
Foreground - 60sec, Iso1600, f2.8, 11mm
Rocks were lit by lights from the road in back

Can you tell me a bit more about your technique / kit?

I'm getting nowhere close with my kit (same lens, essentially the same camera) these are great!

I think he used two exposures and combined them using CS.  One shot for the earth below and one for the sky and combined them using CS.  It's a very good technique.  I can't wait to go back to my province to try this one also.  Thanks for sharing.

Hello!

Interesting and inspiring thread! Got me to sign up as a member and contribute. I'm pretty much a beginner at this, but found it to be very entertaining. Just shooting in JPEGs for now but will begin with RAW next year when I buy the EOS 6D.

The first photo, the tree, was taken this autumn. Used a Canon EOS 300D and the EF-S 10-22 lens. Settings: 22 mm, f/8, 1/250th and ISO 100.

The photo with the toy Scooter girls was taken last weekend. Here I used the Canon EOS 40D and the EF 35 mm 1.4 lens. Settings: 35 mm, f/1.8, 1/25th and ISO 200.

Taken with a 500d and a M42 pentacon 50mm 1.8

500d and a Canon 35-80 with the front element smashed with a hammer to make a macro.....

550d and Tamron 18-270

that creates some very interesting bokeh in that shot, i like it

makes for a brutal but effective close-up kit, I just ran across this lens mod "recommendation" recently.
