Happy to help - and do want to share that sports shooting from up close like in MMA does not benefit from fast glass. Hence my 24-105 f4 is a much better option than a 24-70 F2.8 as I use it most when fighters are 3 to 15 feet from me, and at  f 2.8 there would be more light, but DOF would not work. I am already struggling with DOF at f 4 & 5.6 at this close of range, where as I can use f2.8 on my 70-200 when I am targeting the far side of the cage at 25 ft. away and zooming in tight at 200 as DOF issues are no longer a major issue. I hope this heps you put things in perspective on lens choices for MMA.

Thanks for the kind words - And yes the sport is incredibly brutal, fighters struggle to survive, nothing is easy - I simply try my best to capture these athletes at their best and use my photos to tell their stories. And sport shooting is a bit like wedding work -  as both need great low light skills, the ability to capture peak emotions, and always being able to handle non-stop activities. I love looking at great wedding photographer portfolios for creative inspiration.

I had the same experience when trying out the Mk3 to shoot a night event associated with a Hindu Wedding (there are usually two or three religious nightly events) prior to the actual wedding where flash use  was restricted. I had accidentally set ISO to Auto shot TV and M and was amazed at the results i was getting. I realized after about 25 shots that the ISO was all over the place. When i zoomed in the pics I was amazed at how clean it was (JPG + RAW). So i left it there and continued. Coming from a 7D i would have never trusted the camera to put the ISO all over the place. Later in LR i was amazed that i could further clean up those shot at 12,800 over even more to get that buttery finish.
