Officially, the "affected" serial #'s are in this range:
*Products whose sixth digit in the serial number is 1 or 2 are affected.
For example, “xxxxx1xxxxxx” or “xxxxx2xxxxxx” (
- represents any optional number.) Mine, which shipped in March, has a zero as the 6th digit, and there were some later shipped ones with zeroes, I understand. So the serial numbers may connotate both production sequence and assembly location, don't know. At any rate, the only clue as to repair status may be the white dot on the card slot cover.
