Excellent post. I was wondering what the 5D3 + 24-70mm Mk1 combo would produce.

Really like the 2 horses in Retirement 2 shot - wide open facing into the sun (without too much flare as well).

I use the 24-70mm Mk 1 on my 7D, but have nothing wider, would love to be able to get the EF 14mm 2.8L II....some day...maybe, but the 25 second exposure on the Farm Cottage with that lens was A++!

I love the 14mm 2.8. unfortunately i can't really justify owning it. its an expensive bit of glass to have in the bag and use once a month. Incredibly wide and very sharp in the centre. although it does have soft corner issues. But its an amazing lens, and if i all of a sudden came into some money i would definitely pick one up!
