Unless I'm missing something, except for framerate, the 5DIII is better in every single specification than the 1V. Really, the 5DIII mops the floor with the 1V -- autofocus, metering, image quality, buffer (sure, the 1V has a 24- or 36-shot buffer, but just look at how long it takes to clear it out), low light work, flash control...you name it, the 5DIII is better. In a whole differrent league better.
So remind me again why you're whinging that a camera that's better than anything you could ever buy in the film era and which is selling better than any film-era camera costs more than a film-era camera?
If you can't afford it, that's cool. I want my own Cessna, but I can't afford the $400,000 or whatever to buy one new. That doesn't mean it's overpriced, just that I can't afford it. But if I were to start complaining about how it's overpriced, the only reaction I'd get is the same one you're getting: grow up.
